Clarification by TSUC
TSUC at the Milford Borough Council Meeting was reported in an article entitled
"Auto Spa Owner, Milford Boro Will Share Streetscape Upgrade" on July 24, 2003 by Ken Baumel who was
not present at the meeting. He stated that "Osterberg said that TSUC reported that MBC [Milford Borough Council]
had set a date for reinstalling the Tom Quick monument, when MBC had not."
The TSUC Board of Directors were present at the meeting and don't recall this statement from Osterberg perhaps
because it wasn't made out to be a real issue from the Council. Never-the-less, TSUC previously stated that MBC
planned to re-erect the monument after it was repaired based on news reports at that time - see excerpt from one
such report below.
"The borough had planned to re-erect the monument, which sustained $12,000 in damages from a sledgehammer,
this August. But a planned July protest by a local Native American organization gave officials pause." Source:

May 4, 1999
The NAHTA held a successful protest in 1999 and the fate of the monument has been unknown. TSUC has never reported
that the MBC set a more recent date for reinstalling it.
